Elevate Short Film screens at the 2017 BHERC African American Film Marketplace & S.E. Manly Shor

Written and directed by Letia Solomon, "Elevate" is about Jamal, an extremely bright but troublesome high school student living in the Los Angeles area that enters a robotics competition to win scholarship money for college.

The festival begins on Friday, January 13 – 7:00pm at Harmony Gold Theater, 7655 Sunset Blvd. Los Angeles, 90046. The 2017 Filmmakers will be recognized then. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at www.bherc.org.

"Elevate" will be screening Saturday, January 14 in the Chaplin Theater from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. and Sunday, January 15 in the Fairbanks Theater from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
